I must say I have fallen in love with campervanning, or RV'ing as they say in the States. But actually I don't like the US approach to the activity. It seems to be the American way, ruin something by throwing money at it. I prefer the modest, budget, European way of campervanning. Why would you want a RV bus you can't park anywhere, you can't take anywhere, you can't help make a statement everywhere you go. I prefer a small vehicle with the capacity to sleep 2, hold a fridge, table and chair with enough battery power for 3 days and a generator for repowering it. Give me that and I'm a happy man. There are a range of converted vehicles suitable for this purpose, and there are a number of factory-made ones as well. I like these smaller campervans because they are discrete, single-carriage, compact, functional, flexible and good value. The VW Caddy Life is good for someone just wanting weekends away. But I want something I can take off-road. I am thinking about the Mitsubishi Delica. I want the vehicle for going canoeing and mountain biking in the Philippines, Australia, NZ and Japan. I use an inflatable canoes because they are easy to store in the vehicle. __________________
